General Information


The BT-3 / BT-4 was a medium tank used by the russians between 1932 and 1945.

The vehicle was manned by a crew of 3 and was 2.26 metres wide, 5.54 metres long, 1.95 metres high and weighed 11 tonnes.

Powered by a 400hp petrol engine the BT-3 / BT-4 was capable of a road speed of 69mph and a cross country speed of 39mph. The 88 gallon fuel capacity gave the BT-3 / BT-4 a road range of 187 miles and a cross country range of 125 miles.

Based on the bt chassis, the vehicle was armed with 1 light machine gun, a 45mm M1932 L/46 with a muzzle velocity of 760m/sec which was capable of penetrating 28mm of armour at 800metres
