General Information


The 7.5cm Pak 40/2 Gw II(D,E) was a self propelled anti tank vehicle , 576 of which were used by the germans between 1942 and 1945.

The vehicle was manned by a crew of 4 and was 2.3 metres wide, 4.65 metres long, 2.06 metres high and weighed 10.8 tonnes.

Powered by a 140hp petrol engine the 7.5cm Pak 40/2 Gw II(D,E) was capable of a road speed of 35mph and a cross country speed of 16mph. The 7.5cm Pak 40/2 Gw II(D,E) had a road range of 125 miles

Based on the pzkpfw ii chassis, the vehicle was armed with 1 light machine gun, a 7.5cm Pak 40 L/46 AP with a muzzle velocity of 792m/sec which was capable of penetrating 95mm of armour at 800metres
