General Information

The 7.62cm Pak 36(r) Gw II(A,B,C,F)also known as Marder II was a self propelled anti tank vehicle , 150 of which were used by the germans between 1942 and 1945.

The vehicle was manned by a crew of 4 and was 2.22 metres wide, 4.81 metres long, 1.99 metres high and weighed 10.8 tonnes.

Powered by a 140hp petrol engine the 7.62cm Pak 36(r) Gw II(A,B,C,F) was capable of a road speed of 25mph and a cross country speed of 12mph. The 7.62cm Pak 36(r) Gw II(A,B,C,F) had a road range of 125 miles

Based on the pzkpfw ii chassis, the vehicle was armed with 1 light machine gun, a 7.62cm Pak 36(r) L/51 AP with a muzzle velocity of 700m/sec which was capable of penetrating 90mm of armour at 800metres
