General Information
The PzKpfw I Ausf B, it was based on the PzKpfw I chassis and was in use from 1935 to 1941. It was commonly called a Panzer I.

It was armed with 2 light machine guns which were 7.92mm MG 13s. The PzKpfw I Auf B was built by utilising the lengthened Ausf A chassis designed for the Kleiner Panzerbefehlswagen I after it was realised that the PzKpfw I Ausf A was underpowered and had an engine prone to overheating. It used the same superstructure and turret as the PzKpfw I, but had an uprated engine producing 100 HP.

It was track driven with the engine and drive sprocket to the front of the vehicle, the track fed under 5 roadwheels, and then under a rear idler, finally returning to the front drive sprocket via 4 return rollers.

Hit probability is based on a static 2 x 2.4 metre panel at 0 degrees(vertical) at the range specified.

The data that has been used to create these records has come from Wikipedia, The Lone Sentry, The Bundes Archive and numerous books and websites that have provided the detailed information that has not been available anywhere else. The information we use to calculate the penetration tables, flight times and the hit probability comes from the Gun Calibre, the Shell Mass(Kg) and the muzzle velocity, plus range reductions to allow for gravity and wind resistance. This calculation originally came from a pre-war Krupp calculation which has been modified, and seems to fit the actual test results.
